Purify the Prayer Altar Floor
Clean the puja room floor or wooden altar with a drop of sacred water or turmeric water. Allow the surface to dry into a smooth, pristine altar.
Draw the Central Sacred Lotus or Diya
Draw an 8-petaled Hridaya Kamalam (sacred lotus), divine Diya lamp, or auspicious lotus knot at the exact center using pure white rice flour.
Radiate Cardinal Energy Spokes
Extend symmetrical radial lines outward toward the 8 cardinal and ordinal directions, creating balanced geometric arms around the sanctum core.
Seal with Red Kaavi & Place Diya
Outline the outer tips with deep crimson Kaavi. Place a lit brass Kamakshi Vilakku or earthen oil lamp at the center to invoke spiritual light and blessings.
