Karthigai month kolams have breathed new life into my preoccupied mind 😇 The lamps enchanted me and kept in a trance for the whole 25 days..
Today being the last day, I planned for 32 lotus flowers and yet the space hushed me to call a halt. So outlined an octagon and drew eight Lotus depicting the AstaLakshmis. I was steadfast for the cardinal 32 which called in for the count of lamps.
Today the main element "Lotus Lamp" was upstaged by the flowers 😊 This type of brass vilakku comes in small size and used in pooja room.

Trace Concentric Guidelines on the Floor
Anchor a piece of thread at your center point and lightly trace 3 to 5 concentric circular guidelines with faint chalk on the clean floor.
Place the Central Core Flower
Position a magnificent whole lotus blossom or a tight, dense rosette of vibrant yellow marigold petals at the very center as the visual anchor.
Layer Concentric Petal Rings Outward
Fill each concentric ring with contrasting fresh petals (orange marigold, pink rose, purple orchids, and white jasmine), packing petals closely for a rich velvety texture.
Crown Perimeter with Oil Lamps
Surround the outer floral rim with dark green mango leaves or bilva leaves. Place glowing brass or terracotta oil lamps (agal vilakku) at cardinal compass points.
